he Isidore Tarot Deck is an art collage style tarot that uses whimsical vintage illustrations by J.J. Grandville to recreate the symbolism of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck. Grandville’s characters are turned into new characters with the aid of Victorian era ink illustrations and our shoppe artist’s own pen-work to complete the collages. Each card is given a light color tinting to finish the piece. The idea for the style is based upon Max Ernst’s Une semaine de bonté collection.
DECK AVAILABILITY: The Isidore Tarot is currently sold out but will be available again. This is the Attic Shoppe’s first product and still our most popular. Because of that we have a hard time keeping it in stock. Regrettably we can no longer offer the deck by print on the demand or purchase our normal small monthly batches. So to keep up with customer demand we will be offering it through organized pre-sales at selected times through the year. In the meantime you can follow the Isidore Tarot topic on our deck blog Attic Cartomancy for updates and sale times.
