Lil Tea Trays in the Sky – Tea Bats

Scruff the Red and Tea Bat Designs from the Attic Shoppe

Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you’re at!
Up above the world you fly,
Like a tea tray in the sky. – The Madhatter, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

There is a little place tucked away on main street in *Orange Moon Downs called The Bat Emporium. You will find there a very unique woman who is known by her cabaret name Flossie Leather Feathers and who houses the most glorious bat cabaret you’ll ever see: The infamous Tea Bats.

The Tea Bats got their title from the Mad Hatter poem Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat and they have lived up to that name with their spectacular performances of flying tea cups and kettles and juggling spoons as they fly so high! There are all sorts of bats in Flossie’s cabaret, who found there way to her through all sorts of avenues. There are some who have sought refuge with her after growing very weary dealing with the title of flying rats and receiving no love in the world. Then there are those who heard tale of Flossie’s bat witness protection program where she helped give new identities to sought after bats in need. Whatever the method they happened to find their way to her, here they are now happy and living their best tea life in her bat cabaret.

The Attic Shoppe Trading Co. helps support Flossie’s vision by offering a variety of very unique designs that feature her Tea Bats. You can pick up a crest, such as Scruff the Red pictured above, or just show off the latest in bat with tea fashion. To see all of our batty designs just touch your wee mouse here (we promise our bats will leave it alone) and clicky clicky to see all our current designs and products.

*Orange Moon Downs is a fictional town in Bethalynne‚Äôs young adult series Snapdragon Tea. The Tea Bats were born there and are an active part of the ongoing stories and anthologies of the series. You can learn more about that at her site Orange Moon Tea Society. If you’re a bat lover please visit the Bat Sanctuary to learn how to support them or how to help bats in your area.
